FORMICA COMPETITION 2007:
Competition consists of designing from four given areas, i have selected the washroom area
with given plans and measurements, i intend to design an unusual environment.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Laminates designed with fresh concepts to be suitable and adaptable to a wide range of environments. Formica provies an exciting range of laminates consisting of various styles, textures and finishes. With positive recognition Formica aims to consistently be able to provide customers with the best. I believe Formica Design are in search of fresh intricate, innovative, inspiring designs that can push laminate design to the limit, the endless possibilities of surface design suitable for use in an extensive range of interiors that can be introduced to the world of design.

PROJECT BRIEF:
Selected Area: Wash Room
Also refered to as the restroom, an area to provide a comfortable approach to a wide range of audience and suitable for all users. I intend to design the given space that will allow the user to approach and facilitiate with ease of use. An inventive and adventerous environment to provide harmony than designing to state the obvios of the selected area.
I propose to design the washroom to provide the users with an unusual visualisation of the area, however, it will be successful in meeting its requirements to make use of the facilities provided. I will carry out through research and development designs to conclude a sustainable and appropriate solution. I am to provide a minimalism approach, with facilities built into walls structure and there will be a limited useage of fdacility of what a washroom should provide. The washroom design will mutate colour, mood, atmosphere and feeling depening on the time of the day, this will be approached using intelligent materials and implementing them into the design.
