A documentary shown in early january regarding a lost painting 'nicknamed' as "Holy Babies" had artists, professionals, leonardo da vinci fans all to an edge on a journey if it was painted by the master himself. However, a Leonardo Da Vinci expert claimed it was orignally sourced from da vinci's studio but not painted by him. To me this still remains as a mystery, as i believe parts of the painting have been painted by da vinci the master. The detailig on the two babies faces (jesus and john the baptist), the intricate details in the landscaping, clearly has been portayed in the same style as in the painting Virgin of the Rocks.

The Royal Collection sketchbooks were able to identify a small sketch by Da Vinci that was identified as Da Vinci's original idea.

I have searched for this painting, however, I cannot source it from anywhere.
